April grew up on a farm in Michigan, two hours north of Detroit. Her love for music and teaching led her to study music education at Maranatha Baptist University in Watertown, Wisconsin. She met her husband Caleb during this time and were married in 1997 after graduation. Since that time, they have been serving at First Baptist Church in West Bend, WI and their family has grown. They now have 5 kids, Ryrie, Regann, Caedrin, Andric, and Cassia who were all teenagers at one time! April teaches private music lessons from her home, general music classes at a small K-8 Christian school, and serves in a variety of ways ( musically and educationally) at her church.
April started working for Crosspoint remotely in 2020, mainly in an administrative and financial role. She has admired and been encouraged directly by CrossPoint’s ministry and their team through participating in the Deeper Journey Retreat. She looks forward to further training that she can receive through CrossPoint as God continues to bring counseling/mentoring relationships into her life, so that she can be better equipped for these opportunities. She is humbled to be a part of watching God love His church through the work of Crosspoint with many pastors and leaders who are struggling and overwhelmed but are finding encouragement and hope.
