Dusty grew up in Omaha, Nebraska and became a Christian through the influence of a neighbor family. He has served as a Pastor of Care and Counseling for 12+ years in his current role and has been in full-time ministry for over 20 years. After receiving a BA in Biblical and Theological Studies in Minnesota, he and his wife Jaci dove into college ministry both in the Midwest and San Francisco Bay Area. After receiving coaching and counseling as a couple, honing his skills and gifts, his ministry began to focus on care and counseling. Through his wife’s various health struggles they’ve suffered and celebrated (which fits into coaching if necessary.) He has received a few different certifications in Soul Care work, the Enneagram, and has completed Crosspoint’s Soul Care Institute.
His coaching specializes in pastoral sabbaticals, ministry vocation discernment, and marriage dynamics. He is passionate about helping people create healthy and realistic rhythms and spiritual practices for the long-haul. People return to Dusty for encouraging hope and his honest assessment, biblically-saturated practical help, but most of all his guiding presence.
Dusty calls Omaha home with his wife Jaci and their six children – some in college, some at home. He enjoys making time outside of coaching and ministry for his work as a Police Chaplain, coaching little league baseball, mountain biking, remodeling their old farmhouse and getting to the lake with his family and friends.
