Courageous Love Retreat

Come and join other women learning to live and love courageously, September 25-26, 2020 at the Country Lake Retreat Center in Underwood, IN.

We were created by and for love. Don’t we all aspire to live and love courageously?  And yet there are many barriers…

Too often we hide from all that God wants to do in and through us. We self-protect instead of opening ourselves up to His always good and sometimes fearsome plans. This human tendency is sometimes called “armoring up” in the face of vulnerability. In the story Hinds Feet on High Places, the heroine Much-Afraid often feels vulnerable, weak, and ugly.  As she learns to follow her Chief Shepherd, Jesus, the parts of her she most despises are transformed degree by degree into the likeness of Christ.  In the face of her own shame and fear, she trusts Jesus and comes out of hiding. In vulnerable trust she follows Jesus into rough terrain up the mountain. The step by step journey opens her up to a courageous love she never thought possible.

We are inviting you to join us as we spend some time considering what are the ugly and weak parts of us that Love might want to transform.  A weekend designed to refresh and inspire you toward continuing your journey home, inspired by Hinds Feet on High Places.
