Enneagram Intensive Training
Training for Greater Understanding
Currently, CrossPoint offers an intensive workshop for those who want to become more familiar with the Wagner Enneagram Personality Style Scales (WEPSS). The training assumes a relational modality of spiritual transformation from a Christological perspective. If you are responsible for soul care (e.g. pastors, counselors, spiritual director) you will find the training to be very practical and extremely helpful. After reviewing the Triads and nine Types, along with Wings and Arrows, the majority of time focuses on case studies. You will be coached on how to interpret at least 12 actual (anonymous) profiles. This hands-on approach will give you the confidence you need to help others understand their profile.
We provide a notebook with over 100 pages of Enneagram information, as well as three meals and a double-occupancy room for Friday night.
Registration typically begins at 1:00 PM EST on Friday, with the first session starting at 2:00 PM EST. The training ends by 4:00 PM EST on Saturday.
We normally host this event at Country Lake Retreat Center, 815 Country Lake Rd., Underwood, IN 47177, which is just north of Louisville, KY.
The price is $1,000, with $200 due at registration and the balance due at the training.
Soul Care Institute
Training Leaders in a Relational Modality of Soul Care
CrossPoint launched its Soul Care Institute in 2015. The training is an experientially focused training in a relational modality of soul care. Relational challenges, as well as internal personal obstacles, are examined from a distinctively Christian understanding of the soul. The developmental trajectory of the soul is considered along with the reality that we are embodied souls. Family of origin dynamics are reviewed thoroughly alongside an Internal Family Systems model of fostering spiritual and psychological integration.
The Soul Care Institute provides Christian lay leaders, pastors, counselors, and spiritual directors the opportunity to explore and develop more fully the basic categories for providing soul care from a distinctively Christian worldview. At Crosspoint we believe that effective soul care is dependent upon the quality of the presence of the soul care giver, therefore, attention is given to participants personal growth as well.
Participants meet three times a year over the course of two years (total of 6 seminars). Each seminar is two and a half days at Country Lake Retreat Center.
The tuition for the Soul Care Institute is $6000 plus a $150 one-time registration fee. You are free to pay the total in full or in increments which must be a minimum of $1000 per session. You will be able to pay with a check or credit card onsite at each class. We can also provide an invoice for you to submit to your church or organization.

The Soul Care Institute has been the most valuable source of learning and information in my pastoral ministry. It has helped me gain more confidence in the care and counseling I provide because I am now better equipped to unearth root issues within individuals and help them discover true and lasting change. The cohort-based learning at the institute also provided a space for me to be able to discuss difficult care cases and gain wisdom and insight from not only Jim and Rich, but also from some of the brightest pastors, counselors and therapist from around the country. I highly encourage all those in any kind of care profession to attend.
Blending wisdom and compassion gained from their years in the trenches as pastors and healers, Rich and Jim offer the most unique, welcoming learning experience called the Soul Care Institute. These master teachers provide the safest of learning environments where it is possible to be revealing emotionally, spiritually, and professionally. In this freedom, soul care is both taught and lived out between leaders and participants in the classroom, at mealtimes together, and during evening sharing. At the end of a session full of intensive training, both my head and my heart are always full of new insights immediately applicable to my own ministry. And, instead of the usual post-conference exhaustion, I find myself strangely renewed.
My wife and I are BIG fans of the Soul Care Institute. It has really been a massive help to the coaching and counseling that we do with multiple leaders each week. However, an even bigger ‘win’ for us has been that the SCI helped further heal, empower, and equip our marriage. The interactive teaching process of Rich & Jim is outstanding. We heartily recommend this process to all.
Being part of the Soul Care Institute has not only given me a better understanding of the development of the soul and how to provide care for it but perhaps even more importantly it has been a community that has cared for my soul. Learning in the context of a community who is processing through things together, challenging each other, and caring for one another has proven to be just what I needed. I can now take this experience back to my local church and pray God creates the same type of community there.
Sexual Health Training Intensive
We are very excited to be offering Crosspoint’s first Sexual Health Training Intensive!
Sexual health is fundamental to personal, relational, and societal health. It is our desire to equip church leaders with the tools they need to stand firm on the truth of God’s powerful and glorious design of human sexuality while also being prepared to engage the pornified culture and deep brokenness we often find ourselves faced with.
We will plan to meet at the Country Lake Retreat Center in Henryville, IN. The cost of the training intensive is $575 ($100 at registration)
We hope to see you soon!
