I have been happily married to my wife, Glenda, for nearly 35 years. We will celebrate our 35th anniversary in October 2019. We have one adult daughter, Abigail, who has been a joy in our lives.
I have been actively involved in my local church since my early years. I was baptized at Brooks Baptist Church in Kentucky at the age of 9, and was active in the youth group at Bullitt Lick Baptist Church as a teenager. After Glenda and I married in 1984, we were both active at First Christian Church of Lebanon Junction, KY where I served as an ordained deacon.
After moving to Mt. Washington, KY in 1991, we joined First Baptist Church of Mt. Washington, where I served as deacon and led an adult couples Sunday School Class for many years until 2010, when we moved to the Netherlands with my position at UPS.
While in the Netherlands until 2014, I helped lead the International Baptist Church of Eindhoven, one of few English speaking churches in the area. Upon moving back to the US, we joined Sojourn Community Church in Louisville and have been actively serving there since, as community group leaders, mentors, and most recently leading the Stewardship Ministry.
After finishing my 32-year executive career at UPS in 2017, I retired as Vice President of Solutions and Engineering. My experiences at UPS have exposed me to many aspects of business, many of which overlap with work in the church. Most notably, I have had many opportunities to work alongside people from a relationally-focused, fact-finding, process improvement perspective.
I have been involved with CrossPoint Ministry since mid-2018, practicing the interpretation of Enneagram Profiles, attending both Soul Care Institute and Deeper Journey experiences. What started as an opportunity to mentor a friend has gradually transformed into a greater involvement with this very important ministry.
I also enjoy Financial Coaching through Crown Financial Ministries as well as in my private practice.
